When you want to copy all the files from a DOS floppy onto your hard disk, and you want to preserve the underlying directory structures from the floppy, try the XCOPY command. For example

XCOPY A:*.* C:\TEST

will place all the files and directories from the floppy in the A: drive underneath the C:\TEST directory.
